FAX Modem recommendations

Hello,

anyone have any recommendations for SBS2000 external fax modems?

The modem will be used for sending mass faxes, but only 1 or 2 times per
month.

first and foremost you need to understand that the fax server software that
comes with SBS is a basic faxing software application
Was never designed for "fax blasting" etc. How many outgoing fax lines do
you have?

This will be a single line initially, more if needed. They will be sending
out to approximately 100 different fax numbers at one time. This will occur
1 or 2 times per month estimated.

I have seen where other users are recommneding multitech modems for use with
SBS fax. I have used Multitech modems before for other types of remote
communication, but never for faxing. Any other recommnedations? Is this
amount of faxing worthy of a multimodem fax board? Will SBS faxing handle
this?

well you've already got it and its essentially free, so give it a shot
Any 28.8 USR modem with fax will work fine...don't use a "winmodem"
Go with external rather than internal, much fewer hardware headaches.
