I would like to set up chat on my Domain. I am not really
sure how. Could any one tell me how?

Thanks for your help.

If you are talking about Exhange Chat, then you need to get an enterprise
Exchange instead. SBS only come with Standard.
If you are talking about Insteat Messaging (IM) Service, then please check
out this article:

A couple of points on this.

The IM built into SBS 2000 isn't included in SBS 2003, so it's a dead-end
feature. However, with proper configuration, you can run MSN IM to
communicate both outside the firewall, or with other folks inside the
firewall, and there's no SBS specific requirements, just some tuning if you
want to exchange files or voice of IM. This is probably a simpler way to
address this.

In addition, if you enable IM on Exchange (within SBS), you need to be aware
that your configuration of Exchange and recovery of databases (if you need
to do that) has to remain consistent with the configuration you had at the
time the backup was made. In other words, you can restore a non-IM enabled
backup to a non-IM enabled condition on the Exchange, but once you enable IM
on Exchange, you can't restore a previous backup in which IM was not
enabled....unless you uninstall IM first. You can restore an IM enabled
backup on an IM enabled Exchange, of course. It's just the crossing of the
transition that isn't supported. Furthermore, you can factor in that
Exchange restores using different Exchange SPs is also a complication.
Therefore, if you decide to install IM and or an SP, you need to carefully
pay attention to exactly what condition you have the server in, perform a
disaster recovery backup of the Exchange immediately, and keep in mind that
it gets pretty complicated to require a restore later that crosses over that
transition point to a time further back. Likewise, if you are following the
thread of logic on this, because SBS is a DC running AD, and System State
restores are going to have implications for all applications including
Exchange and Exchange references in AD.....you are also tying your overall
backup condition into this limitation. I mention all of this only because
you need to realize that installing IM isn't a casual update, it isn't
necessarily reversible without creating more issues than are readily
apparent, and you may want to look at an option that has an upgrade future
which this doesn't.

Is there an article about how to set up MSN IM behind a
firewall. I do not want out side chat to run.
