I believe that the issue is caused by two things. Firstly
though I put GFI on the D: drive, it has loaded some
stuff onto the C:z drive and used up some space. This
means there is not enough disk space for BE to write the
on-disk catalogue. Secondly I need to decrease the number
of seconds during which there can be no activity before
the static volume is created
