The SBS2000 server is slowly running out of free space on the C: drive with
more space disappearing each night. Investigation has shown the space is
being consumed by log files being created in the directory "C:\Program
Files\Microsoft ISA Server\ISASummaries" presumably for use is ISA reporting
which is not used.

Internet activity is never likely to be scrutinised. Can someone please give
me instructions on how to:
1. Safely delete these log files
2. Prevent these temp files from being created

Any help is much appreciated
Paul

open up ISA mgmt, then drill down to your server, and then to Monitoring
Configuration. From there right click to change or disable the particular
reportsd.

Paul,

Most folks here would recommend you keep logging enabled, in case you have a
security incident.
That said, if you open the ISA Management snap-in, and drill into Monitoring
Configuration,
you can specify that the saved logs, and summaries are limited to X number
of files.
Perhaps that has been turned off or set too high, otherwise the accumulation
should not have
that great an impact on disk space. There is an option to compress the
files as well.

For example - I've been keeping logs all year long, and compressed size on
disk is about 1.3gb.
If I only kept a month at a time, it wouldn't amount to squat.

Give those settings a look, then do what you need. You can turn them off
there too.

Thanks for that Kevin.

I have done as you suggested and disabled the reports. However the *.TMP
files are still in the directory. Will they 'disappear' by themselves or do
I have to delete them?
