I would like to set a limited tme to a computer, to which an user shall have
an access.

In the user addiministration pannel it is possible to set this.

I observed that it is working tis way so the user really canot logon if the
time is not right.

But as long as he is logged his computer works regardles of the fact that
his time to logon is over.

Is there any way to limit a time the user uses his computer (this mean
closing th session after the user time is over).

with regards

You could write a script or exe that you could schedule to do the
logoff, either based on the Logoff.vbs that was in the NT4 Res Kit,
or some 3rd party utils out there.

Personally I'd find it dangerous to cut off the accountant 1/2 way through
posting the Company Wages Bank Transfer, or the Director 95% of the
way through his unsaved early morning marketing presentation - or any
similar activity by a user.

If you're concerned about users leaving their PCs on when they walk away
or go home you can use the LogOff.scr Screen Saver which I think was in
the same Res Kit, or you might find it on the net.

You can set this in Group Policy:

Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options > "Automatically
log off users when logon time expires"

And there's also a "Automatically log off users when logon time expires
(local)", though what the difference is, I don't know...

Very Cool.
Do you know how Cut-throat this logoff is ?

...or would you go with something like PSShutdown
from the folks at SysInternals ?

I have no idea. I would certainly expect that the user gets offered the
chance to save work...
