Jeff, or anyone else for that matter -
I have scoured this n'group and google, as suggested, for ideas/experience
in how to move an existing SBS2K install to a new hardware platform. A
number of articles I found cover bits of the whole process, and refer to
other threads I cannot find, etc, etc. I would be extremely grateful if you
could give me any "alternatives overview" on this process.
It is purely a hardware upgrade requirement. I don't, however, want to have
to re-create all the user accounts nor re-build exchange mailboxes etc, etc.
I would love to just "ghost" the entire build from one platform to another
but cannot obviously.
If you have the time or can point me to an article elsewhere that gives this
info, I would be most grateful. The aim, ultimately, is to have the new box
( 2 x Xeon processors etc, etc) being the SBS2K install with just Exchange
running on it, and all file serving run from the old box re-installed fresh
back on the domain as a new vanilla Win2K DC. I will then be running
another Win2K box as another DC in a remote office with a site-2-site perm
VPN.
many thanks in advance.
