Sometimes when you open Internet Explorer 6.0 on a Client, we get the window
"No commection to the Internet, Work Offline or try again".

If we chose try again, it works. Could there be a problem with the NIC of
the client?

Greetings

Have you checked the computer for any Trojans or worms? Have you run
Windows Update lately on the computer? As for the NIC, I would insure all
the TCP/IP settings are correct.

Checked on viruses, no virusses.
Al the updates are done and the TCP IP settings are correct. Also a second
Client in the domain has the same problem.

At home i have also a SBS network and there it appears also with my laptop
on the network.

Are you runnining ISA Server? Is the Firewall Client configured correctly?
I have seen this issue before and it was the Netsky virus on a computer that
was not patched. It was tying up the internet connection for other
computers and IE kept timing out. I would download Stinger.exe, search
google, and run this on your network to insure you have no worms running
around.

You can verify the connectivity of the client by running a continuous ping
from the command prompt to an external website or host. Say ping
"www.acme.com -t", see if it times out at any point.
