Internet Connection error - icwlog.txt

Hi,

I've run through the SBS internet connection wizard with a
dedicatated broadband & router configuration. However the
process keeps falling with an interupt message when the
wizard tr register connection. As below

"The Internet Connection wizard was interrupted because of
an error or user intervention. Details have been recorded
in the file Icwlog.txt which can be found in <path>".

I have searched and found various technotes relating to
this type of error, plus other entries in the forum but my
icwlog.txt contains errors beginning at line

See if you have a dependency for Netlogon under the DNS service. Follow the
posts in this thread...

Thanks Merv,

I've checked the netlogon dependancy under DNS service and
the config appears correct currently. Could you make any
other suggestion?

A possible reason for this error could be related to
another problem with our Dell Poweredge 4600 where if
using 2 NICS the custom specified IP settings on the cards
cannot be saved and both revert to DHCP in the windows
interface dialog (However doing a cmd > IP config /all
shows both adapters with the custom settings but with a
DHCP Lease Obtained/expires value) Any ideas?

Are you following the recommended SBS server setup procedures?
http://www.smallbizserver.net/sbs2000/network.aspx

Any errors in the event logs?
Is the DHCP Server Scope on the SBS set up correctly?

Maybe...
uninstall the external NIC driver
physically remove the external NIC
reboot
set static IP on Internal NIC
run ICW
make sure there are no errors in the event logs
then shutdown
reinstall the external NIC
boot the server
install the external NIC driver
assign a static IP to it
re-run ICW
check for errors
