When I connect a client to my server 2003, the first time, user applications
are supposed to be installed, like Explorer 6.0, XP SPK1, FAX Client, Shadow
Client,... but nothing happens. The Sript batch file in the login Script is
running but nothing happens. I tried Differnt Clients with different OS, but
it does not install.

Also, during SBS2003 Installation, I ket getting the error:

An error occurred while installing windows sharepoint and creating your
intranet site.

I tried insstalling the SBS2003 on differnet servers, with same error. ???

Help ????

Hello,

After connecting 4 client computers to my SBS2003 server I shared some
folders and printers (Published in AD) on 2 of my clients. After doing
this and allowing everyone to use/access the printer and folders I can
not connect to any of my clients that are sharing the printer or the
folders, I can only see the shares from the client I'm working at. Is
there a setting that I need to change?

Hi Victor,

Can you explain again please? The sharing should preferably done on the
server only.
From where are you sharing the printer and folders?

Hi Marina,

I need to share a priter on one of the workstations because it has an
USB interface (Not a printserver) and it is located in a different
office as the server thats why I'm sharing it from a work station.
Because I could not access the printer after I shared it I shared some
folders to find out out was wrong. I turns out that I can share what I
want but I just can't access any workstion other then the one your
loged on to. Its also not possible to connect to the workstations from
the server I get the password popup screen and after that an error
message that I can't access the share.

Regard,

Victor

Hi Victor,

Hmm, USB. I'm not so sure you can get that to share that easily.
What OS on the clients? If you want to be able to access the clients from
other clients, you'll have to add the users to the workstations, so that
they are able to logon.
They are joined to the domain, right?

Wel the fact that ist a USB printer should not matter for the sharing
part. Al the computers joined the domain the printer is listed in AD
and all users have been added to the workstations. I have given
everyone access rights to the share and printer but even if the right
are insufficient I should still be able to se the share wright?

Hi Victor,

Looks to me like a permission issue. Can I ask you how exactly and from
where you're trying to connect to a machine? Do you get this error on every
machine? Do you get in when trying as administrator?
Have you checked out the local policies on the clients?

Hello Marina,

I have tried getting in from all computers including the server. The
server is at my clients site already and I will be there later this
week. I think I know whats causing the problem I'm not using any
passwords and Windows doesn't like that so I will apply passwords
first and then see if this wil solve the problems.I will let you know
if this will solve things.
