During installation I get message:

"...prevented Connection Manager components from being installed. Code
0x80070006"

Restarted installation and got to installing components but then error
occurred again.

Anyone got any ideas?

You are installing SBS on a freshly formatted harddisk, right?

Is there a 3rd party (Dell, IBM, Compaq, etc.) utility partition on the
target drive?
Are you waiting until after all SBS components are installed before you
apply any patches or SPs?
Do you have the internal NIC plugged into a live (powered) hub or switch?

Tom,

I have seen two SBS 2000 installations with this error on Connection
Manager, and by continuing with setup, the Connection Manager was working
properly with no problems on the install.

Are you able to continue setup after the error is seen?
