Keeping it simple: think of IMAP4 and POP3 as being very similar, the
difference being that IMAP4 will always leave the email on the server (which
is what you want with SBS), and it only pushes down the headers of each
email -- and that's the feature that is good with pcket PC's and PDA's --
only pushing down a small part of each email on a relatively slow (cellular)
link.
Also, keep in mind that when talking about retrieving email externally using
IMAP4 or POP3, we are talking about the IMAP4 and/or POP3 services, and NOT
the POP3 connector which is used by many to pull email from an external
email server into the SBS server.
By defualt, the IMAP4 and POP3 services are disabled with SBS. Simply go
into your list of services on your SBS server, and startup the IMAP4
service.
