We use a public folder calendar for this, and it works great. I'm not
familiar with sasco, so there may be some features you lose going to a
public folder. From the Actions menu of a calendar appointment, the users
can click Forward to e-mail a notice of their absence, and Copy to Personal
Calendar to avoid having to enter the appointment twice.
