We have a software vendor that need to run a utility on our ISA
server
(part of SBS 2000) that updates a program that we run. This utility
will run 24/7 and look for updates every 30 minutes. We are having a
problem getting the utility to contact the website it needs in order
to work correctly. The website is HTTPS based. If we type the comlete
website into IE on the Server we are prompted with a username/
password
box for that vendors site, so our https appears to be ok. However the
utility will not contact the same site.

The Utility has a setting for a proxy server and we have tried
entering the same proxy information from our IE connection
(servername;port 8080) with the Administrator UN/pwd in the utility's
settings.

So, how do I ensure within ISA 2000 if all requests to Https-based
websites, inbound & outbound, are allowed?
FYI we also added the necessary website to the list of trusted sites
on our ISA IE Security settings.
One the server, when we go the site we are prompted for username/
password and then we get error 401.1 --related to IIS--and page cannot
be displayed.

Thanks
