I have a major problem. A virus got into our Exchange 2000 system and
cleared out the Exchange databases. I have no backup of them but I do have
the transaction logs. I recovered these but they are all named DE1.log,
DE10.log, DE100.log and so on instead of E0000001.log, E00000002.log, etc.
I have looked everywhere an cannot find what these files are and if these
files will work for recovery. Also, these recovered files are around 8.5GB
which were on a 10GB drive. This leads me to believe that they contain the
info I need to recover the databases. Thanks!!!

You need a real expert who can focus only on your problem until it's solved
(if there's a solution). Microsoft has a free support line for
virus-related incidents - I'd give them a call first. In the US, it's 1-866
PC SAFETY.
