I installed the second NIC for ISA
I had to change the internal network's ip range since I couldn't change
router's ip.

Almost everythins has stopped working.

Where should I start to trobleshoot the problem?

What kind of a router do you have?
What ip-ranges are you using for your internal and external nic?

Filippo,

If the internal nic on SBS 2000 is isolated and connected only to the
internal LAN, and if the WAN card is cabled to a separate subnet that then
goes to the router, you should consider the following:
1. Confirm that the TCP/IP settings on both cards lists the preferred DNS
server as the new internal IP address. The internal card should also list
the WINS as the new internal IP address.
2. Confirm the Binding order is correctly listing the internal card on
top, and the WAN card in second position by going to "Advanced" in the
toolbar of "Network and dialup connections:, then selecting "Advanced
Settings".
3. If ISA Server is installed, open the ISA Server Manager console and go
to Network Configuration and then Local Address Table and remove any ranges
that include the external or WAN cards IP range.
4. If you are using DHCP Server from SBS, you may need to delete the
existing DHCP Scope and create a new scope with the new IP address for the
internal card.

Running the Internet Connection Wizard is always a good idea for SBS, when
you change the networking configuration.

Sounds like the router has DHCP enabled, this will kill the SBS's DHCP
server. You need to get into that router and turn off its DHCP server.

Even if that were true... this shouldn't be happening since the Router's
DHCP server will be on the external nic.

Just a question... Did you just change the ip on the internal network??

How did you add the NIC??

Did you rerun ICW?

And what exactly is not working??

Yup! Without my glass's on I blew right by the second NIC part!

I would refer you here http://www.smallbizserver.net/sbs2000/network.aspx
pick out what you are setup like and use that as a guide.

Thank you all guys,

One question: should external card have internal server's IP address as the
DNS
If yes, just that or ISP's dns too?

now I think almost everything is running correctly
Few infos:

I am not using DHCP on the internal network
I assigned the internal IP address to the external NIC because I couldn't
change router's subnet (it's managed by ISP)

External card should only have the server-IP as DNS.
The ISP-DNS-numbers should be put in the tab Forwarders of your DNS-server.
You have to keep the internal and external IP-range separate. You should be
using DHCP which will make life much easier for you.
If you can't change the external router-IP (why not???), you'll have to
change the internal IP-range.

If so see : http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?

Thank you all for the support
