Hi,

SBS2003, when I add a new contact, with an external SMTP address, this does
not show uo in the global adress list, as it used to with SBS2000.

Anyone have any ideas how to make it show in the global address list ?

Regards,
Brian

In AD Users, under Properties > Exchange Advanced for your contact, is 'Hide
from Exchange Address lists' checked?

Thanks Kevin,

I had not thought to look for that and had not seen it looking around the
properties either. That setting used to be off by default on previous
versions, but I've seen many other places where the default now seems to be
the other way round, so that's the first thing I'll check when I get back to
the site. It certainly sounds like that's the one.

Brian

Sorry, but this was not the answer. "hide from Exchange address list" is not
checked on the contact. But still no SMTP contacts are shown, as they did
previously on SBS 2000.

Brian

I have the same issue. I thought when receiving email form an extrenal client
you could choose where you wish to save their email. In outlook 2003 I set it
under address book, tools, options keep resonal contacts in and have selected
Keep personal addresses in our public address book. But each time I save a
new address it defaulst to my perosnal contacts. So sorry not to help but am
curious whether you have solved your issue?

Thanks
Philip
