I have installed SP2 on the server and the ISA Management Console shows this
to be the version.
As per instructions I have attempted to upgrade Firewall Client by running
setup.exe from the shared mspclnt folder in Program Files\Microsoft ISA
Server\Clients from the client.
However, I don't get the option to Repair and the firewallc.log reports the
ISA Setup Build no: 3.0.1200.50 and not 3.0.1200.365 SP2 (which I assume it
should). I have also noticed the setup file is dated 15-12-2000 which is
presumably the old one. Am I right in assuming the client has not been
updated?

Check the file versions on these...

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Firewall Client\WSPWSP.DLL
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Firewall Client\WSPCPL32.CPL

Mine have file date 4/25/2004 and version 3.0.1200.365

Many of the other files were not changed.

Hi Chris,

The setup is located in \\servername\mspclnt.

Marina, I think Chris knew that already.

Based on empirical evidence (perusing the contents of the mspclnt share),
the only files that were updated by ISA SP2 are:

wspwsp.dll
wspcpl32.cpl
rws32.dll
stpext32.dll

Of those files, the first 2 are part of the client software, the last 2 are
setup files. Chris should check those file versions on the client machine.

Thanks for your help!
As suspected the two clients files you describe are version 3.0.1200.166
with a date of 11/02/2004 (sorry: 02/11/2004!).
The server files are as per yours. They are all in the I386 folder. As I
said it could be significant that I wasn't given the choice to Repair when I
ran setup.exe (which incidentally has the older date) and just did a
re-installation of the old version.
