We hare using msmall Dell 400SC several, which has not too much space in it.
The system operates on SBS2003 system.

Due to small place we intend to place new disk in a new computer case in
whioch is only power supply and some fans (and of coures a number of Hard
discs.

The SCSI controller would be in the main system and the external drives
would be connected by an exterlan SCSI cable.

Is this recomendable solution?

with regards

You can buy 'drive enclusures' designed specifically for this.
