Exchange 2000 IMS Problem

Hello,

Had a network failure this morning (UK) which resulted in
a firewall having to be replaced, etc. I thought that
would be end of that, but then realised that POP3 was
downloading, but IMS will not distribute the incoming
mail to the recipients.

Event Log reports POP3 download successful, but
reports 'NDR Status 400' Event ID 4023 and does not
deliver anything into any mailboxes.

Searched Technet to fing nothing for the NDR error.

Can anybody Help?

Hi Alan,

Doesn't your ISP support SMTP? Would make life much easier for you.

Have a look at 274054 Exchange connector for POP3 mailboxes doesn't deliver
mail (if you have more than 15 users, you'll need a hotfix).
274539 POP3 gateway mail disappears after download.
324236 the pop3 connector may stop delivering mail
303741 users may not receive messages from connector for pop3 mailboxes.
