When my backups are run, my log reports that the mdb database files are
being skipped!
This makes me very uneasy as if this is taken literally, then no mail is
being backed up.
Log read as follows
Media Name: "Media created 11/08/2003 00:44:06 "
Backup of "I: Data1"
Backup set #6 on storage media #1
Backup set description: "Backup 0064"
Backup Type: FULL - Back Up Files - Reset Archive Bit
Backup started on 11/08/2003 at 03:10:56 .
The item \exchsrvr\mdbdata\priv1.edb in use - skipped.
The item \exchsrvr\mdbdata\priv1.stm in use - skipped.
The item \exchsrvr\mdbdata\pub1.edb in use - skipped.
The item \exchsrvr\mdbdata\pub1.stm in use - skipped.
File "data.dat" in use - Backed up.
File "debug.txt" in use - Backed up.
File "EventLog" in use - Backed up.
File "data.dat" in use - Backed up.
File "debug.txt" in use - Backed up.
Can anybody explain to me why this might be and what I can do to be safe in
the knowledge that it is being backed up?
Are there any procedures I can follow or any good links I can read up on?
I inherited this system and dont want it to fall flat
Cheers,
Tommy
