We recently migrated from our old SBS2000 box to a new
one. We had to re-join all the Windows 2000 Pro client to
the new SBS (DC) due to the SSID issue.

A client is running Windows 2000 Server (non-DC) and we
have noticed that his Event Viewer contents are
dissappearing. When he click on the Application Log, for
instance, the header says 1,279 item(s), but nothing is
displayed. This is intermittent, as when he click away
from it and then back onto it, then it comes back again.

Surely something very weird but very hard to pinpoint!

Please help.

Have a look at article 172156 and/or 315147.

It does tell you how to clear the logs and how to delete corrupt logs.
What was the question?
