I can't get this on the new SBS2k. I'm checking from the server as I bolt
down the configuration issues. I can download the headers but I can't get
the bodies. Is there something I need to enable?

It doesn't work because the firewall client is not installed on the server,
nor should it be.
It's not a good idea generally to use the server for this. But it can be
done by creating the required packet filters.
So, if you have access to a workstation, use that for ng access.
If you absolutely must have access from the server here's how:

You need to create a packet filter to allow OE NNTP (news) to work on the
server itself.

To Allow Access:
Start/Programs/Microsoft ISA Server/ISA Management
Expand to & Highlight Access Policy
Highlight IP Packet Filters
In the Right-Hand Pane, click "Create a Packet Filter" icon - This runs
the New IP Packet Filter Wizard
Give it a name - i.e. "NNTP Access Rule" / Hit Next
On the Filter Mode screen, select "Allow Packet Transmission" / Hit Next
On the "Filter Type" screen, select "Custom" / Hit Next
On the "Filter Settings" screen, set:
IP Protocol=TCP
Direction = Both,
Local Port = Dynamic
Remote Port = Fixed
Remote Port Number = 119.
Hit Next
On the "Local Computer Screen" select "Default IP Addresses for each
external Interface on the ISA Computer"
Hit Next
On the "Remote Computers" screen, select "All Remote Computers"
Hit Next
Hit Finish
