Is it Exchange aware? This doesn't make a lot of sense..not you, but the
problem. I haven't seen it return old email. I was thinking that the
database wasn't shutdown correctly for some reason and it rolled back the
logs. An Exchange aware backup purges those logs so there should be very
many old ones. Do you configure the Outlook client with Offline folders?
I've seen this when it can't connect to the server and it opens in Offline
Mode and the OST hasn't been sync'd in awhile and it looks like just a bunch
of old emails are in their Inbox.
