If any of my users receive a mail with CC addresses specified, the server
instantly forwards/relays the message to the CC Recipient. Consequently the
CC recipient receives two copies of the mail. Both appear to have come from
the original sender however examination of the headers reveal that one came
from the originator whilst the other was despatched by our server.

At a complete loss - fully SP'd and patched; No open relays; No mailbox
rules running. Help!!!

Bummer!

Thanks for the info. I don't suppose you know of a Knowledge Base article
that confirms this - I've had a look but have drawn a blank (and it's easier
to report to the powers that be with some documentary evidence!)

Thanks again,

M.

Hi!

This is the article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;264249&Product=sbs

Basically you have 3 options (actually 4):

1) Switch to POP3 individual accounts instead of Global
2) Use a 3rd party connector (like www.popbeamer.com)
3) Switch to SMTP mail (my preffered option!)
4) Upgrade to SBS2k3 (also a good option!)

The Pop3 collector in SBS is next to useless anyway. Try EFS from
http://www.chimera.co.nz/ (free and very good) or ExchangePop3 from
http://www.exchangepop3.com/ (expensive but also good)

Brilliant - thanks very much for your help!

I think I'm going to switch them to SMTP mail over the weekend.

Thanks again,

Mark.
