Bit OT, but I'm a gonna try here...

How many folk are running a dotnetnuke site on SBS???

One at least - I am - using it to put all the documentation for the
client online for them. I *really* like it.

At the moment, it's internal access only. In the near future, I want to
allow external access over SSL (we'll generate a certificate ourselves).

I also have a problem on the client install of my dotnetnuke site, it
seems to have gone all case sensitive on me (it's running fine on my own
PC). Are there any DotNetNuke NG's or good support sites I could check
out?

Check out www.asp.net - there are forums there, with a sub-forum for DNN.

Not an NG... but a forum just for DNN:

For all those who havent heard of DotNetNuke, its a great way for us Small
Businesses to get a pretty good and functional (features added all the time)
Portal web site for free or minimal investment. Its open source so you (or
any asp programers) can mould it how you like with out having to re-invent
the wheel.

Check out www.dotnetnuke.com for the look and feel + downloads and links.
Check out the forums in www.asp.net for a great community of developers for
help.

We are about to try running DNN on our new SBS2003 install. The problem
with SBS2000 is that the SQL licence does not allow you to host public
pages. SBS2003 does.

One of the issues that I am running in to is how to securely (as possible)
connect to the SQL database from the web server (in the DMZ) with out having
to open up any extra ports on the SBS server.

Ive been playing with it for a few weeks and havent come up with a great
solution.

Let me know if you find any good leeds on the subject.

Thanks
Gary

What about running a copy of data need on the WebServer and get the SQL
(using data replication) to connect to the Web Server instead of the other
way around?

A good plan,
and even better if you have a separate DB server in the DMZ.

I you can't do either, then assigning a non default Port to SQL Server
for pass through the Internal Firewall could help a little.
