Hello,
The article mentioned previously should be what you are looking for. Once
you promote the second Windows 2000 server into the domain you can then
transfer the FSMO roles to the new domain controller. (keep in mind with
Windows 2000 domains the concept of PDC's/BDC's is no longer valid)
Also, once you demote the SBS 2000 server, at that point programs such as
Exchange and ISA are no longer supported according to the EULA, so if you
plan on continuing to use Exchange for example, it would be best to run
both domain controllers on the network. (we have quite a few customers who
do just that)
Lastly, if you are looking to expand beyond the limitations of SBS 2000,
you can also use the migration pack. More information on that can be found
