We are installing SBS 2000, we have added a client
computer and are using the Network disc on the client
computer. After, I specify Domain Name and password it
gives an error that I could not contact the Domain? Can

What OS on the client? You don't have to use the disk and certainly not on a
XP.
You can do it manually by rightclicking Network, Properties, tab Network
Identification, Properties, fill in the name of the domain after which it
will as for the username and password of an account that is allowed to join
workstations (administrator for example).

Sometimes I have to use domainname.local to get a workstation to join
the domain. This assumes that your domain uses the default .local
extension. Make sure your workstation does not have any manual wins or
dns entries that point to any ip except the internal ip of your SBS.
