Happy New year to all hope it was a joyous occasion.

I'm trying to disable outlook from importing or export the data.

Is this possible, if so can someone please elaborate on it.

Thank you

April

As you might have guessed, it looks like the short answer is - no.

Would this do it for you?

=B7 On the File menu, the Import and Export command no longer imports
or exports to a .pst file. If you choose this command, the following
message is displayed:
PST (Personal Storage) usage is disabled on this computer.

Super effort if i may add.

Can't wait to implement this for those pesky users who think they know it
all.

Thank you very much

The only thing is, they can still export to another file format such as CSV.
I'm not sure what the results would be if they tried to import that CSV back
into a PST on the home computer or whatever, but I wouldn't be surprised if
it worked well.

You can disable menu and toolbar options in Outlook using the Outlook 2003
ADM template for group policy. I've never tried it, so your mileage may
vary. But you'd start by getting the Office 2003 ADM templates from the
Office Resource Kit web site at Microsoft and installing them. Find what
predefined items are available to exclude. If import and export is on the
list, you can exclude it right there. If not, create a custom setting using
the same syntax found in the predefined ones.
