Hi

Have a weird problem on a Windows 2000 SBS that has a
dialup connection..

The connection is no longer disconnecting after so many
minutes of being
idle. For some reason the connection is being 'kept
alive' by something
(tiny amounts of data TX/RX every 30/40 secs). I have
been through
ABSOLUTELY everything in an attempt to solve this
including stopping half
the services on the server (to include ISA, DNS etc),
checking for viruses/worms and such processes
that may be running in the background. This suddenly
started happening for
no apparent reason.

It's got me anyway - and something that seems SO
simple... Any ideas?

Disconnect the dialup and have a look in all your logs to see what is
wanting to dial out.
