Only one laptop user out of a dozen or so is getting this issue, even
though all of them move between offices.
We have My Documents and the Desktop redirected to the user's home
drive on the server.
The home drives are replicated via DFS between the servers at 3
offices, as we have desktop users who travel themselves between these
offices and need local access.
This user is returning to his normal office and logging on OK. All his
desktop icons appear.
However, sometime during the morning (let's say 1-2 hours later) his
desktop will vanish. I check the DFS and the icons will have
disappeared across all the servers. I then have to restore from tape.
The Desktop is part of his redirected My Documents, but nothing else in
that folder disappears, and the Desktop folder remains, albeit empty.
Any ideas why this would happen, and where that delay in them
disappearing comes from?
