Well, first define "dedicated hosting".
There are plenty of web providers that will give you a dedicated or semi
dedicated server, and you rely on them to continue providing the redundancy
of backbone, routers, UPS, network monitoring and firewalls to keep hackers
from breaking in. That's the way I would go.
But it sounds like when you say "dedicated hosting" you really mean "bring
it all inside, and that you would run your own server".
So, let's ask a few questions:
1. What don't you like about your current web hosting setup? Too costly?
Lot's of downtime? No support? Not enough bandwidth or throughput? Not
enough services or tools?
2. What do you think you will acomplish by trying to bring it inside?
Personally, unless you have experience with running a public web site,
you're better off keeping your web site hosted by a web provider. If you
want a suggestion, I have used TotalChoice Hosting for the last two years to
host many of my customer's business web sites - www.totalchoicehosting.com -
shared plans starting from $4 a month; semi dedicated servers starting at
$79/month.
