We have a customer's server with 19 terminals attached.
The terminals are running either Windows 2000 or Windows
98.

How do I download ALL the critical and & security updates
for Windows 98 ONCE, and ALL the critical & security
updates for Windows 2000 ONCE to the server, then update
each terminal machine from the server as needed? Since
the customer is paying for satellite bandwidth and time, I
don't want to do 19 repetative downloads!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks muchly!

Use a W2K-workstation, go to Windows Update, and adjust so you can go to the
catalog. There you can choose the OS's and kind of sp's, hotfixes etcetera
to download in one go.

Chad,

I installed SUS on my SBS server at home as a test. And I configured it to
download a copy of all the patches. But frankly, I'm either over-whelmed,
over-tired, or over-age --- but I couldn't figure out what to do next. It
looks like I'm supposed to select those patches that I want to push out and
apply - but I have a zillion of them listed - literally every patch
Microsoft has released.

Am I missing something really simple here???
