Hi all,
I would like to make our Access XP database available on a seperate
volume from the C Drive. I've created a new volume (Drive E) which is a
Default share. I would like to put the database alone in this partition but
can't locate it from the client computers. I can locate it if I put it in
the company share on the C: Drive -
\\ServerName\CompanySharedFolder\Database but how can I access
\\ServerName\DriveE\Database ? I tried creating a new share on Drive E with
max share permissions & full control for all users but I can't locate a
shortcut to it from the client desktops. Any help appreciated.

TIA
Gary

What do you get when you type:

\\<ServerName>\<ShareFolderName>

in the address bar ?

Hi Henry,
If I type that into the address bar it does take me to the
database on the E Drive & I can open it from there. Is there anyway of
being able to just put a simple shortcut on the users desktop?

Thanks,
Gary
