Hi, I am using SBS2000(SP1)/Exch2000(SP3)/W2K(SP4) and
suddenly the VMIMB.exe process is consuming 100%
processor usage. I understand that this is a component
of the MS Connector for POP3. The service cannot be
stopped nor can the process unless the system is
rebooted - then the problem reoccurs an hour or so
later. Ideas gratefully received.

Thank you for posting your question to the Newsgroup.

Do you have any antivirus program running such as NAV ?
If so, check to see if your AV program is scanning the POP3 Connector
folder - if so, removed it from being scanned

Uninstalled POP3 Connector Service

Restarted the server

Removed the POP3 Connector folder

Checked to make sure registry key was not there

(HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/Services/MSPOP3Connector

Reinstalled the POP3 Connector

Added mail accounts

Should resolve the problem
