Help!

We have a SBS2000 server with the MS POP3 Connector
fetching e-mail from our ISP (We connect via a router and
ADSL). All has been running fine for 12mths but now the
POP3 Connector stops running at every scheduled mail run.
Log just states that the POP3 Connector has terminated
unexpectedly.
I can re-start the service everytime but it falls down
again at the next scheduled mail run.

Thanks

Have you try to reconfigure the service with SBS Console?
("Guided Procedure"? I have Windows in Italian, i don't
know how you see "Small Business Server Administration
Console"?)

Something POP3 connector stop work well; simply
reconfigure with "guided procedure" and just run ok

Does your ISP support SMTP? So you can get rid of pop3 altogether?
Does the eventlogs show an event id with that errormessage?
Is SP1a loaded?

the MS pop connector is weak. I use Popbeamer and not only never have
problems but I can check every 5minutes instead of 15.

It crashed on me a few times too :-). Better try to run everything via SMTP as everybody mentioned. The POP3 connector mostly crashes because of some corrupted email message
Try removing the Global/User accounts in the connector's properties and then adding them again. It helped for me
If that doesn't work, reinstall the POP3 connector via the SBS setup CD1
