I had a laptop configured to use VPN and then connect to my company's
system. It works just fine using a modem connection but it can be
quite slow...so had a user connect to their hotel room broadband
service...got fast net access but not able to get to the citrix
session
again or login to any secure webpages. I brought the laptop home from
Europe and hooked it up to my DSL connection. Everything worked fine.
My tech people blame the Hyatt Hotel in London, and the hotel people
blame my people.

I am using WindowsXP personal with SP2.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,

Well, if computer/connectionX works fine in location A but not in location
B, it's obvious that this has to do with something at location B. Sounds
like port blocking or proxy server or something on the hotel broadband
connection.
You can't control that - there's no guarantee that remote access will work
on a network connection not under your control.
