Sorry for repost but still dont know what the deal is

Still having problems , help. The past couple of days I am having a
couple of xp and 2000 computers are experencing pauses during working. All
these
computers are CAD machies and during the course of the day while working in
acad(as this is the most used program on the computer) they will be working
and the cursor will lock up for 5-20 sec and then unfreeze, doing this at
random throughtout the day.

All computers are updated completely.

It started doing this about two weeks ago before that everything worked
smoothly.

Also am not getting any relative event logs.
What might cause this.? or what steps do u recommend that I should take?

Hi Eddie,

What other applications are running? Perhaps we can narrow down the
possibilities by limiting the applications until we find the offender.
(check startup folders for office startup app's, I know the older versions
at least were real resource hogs).

How about A/V file scanning, is it running?

Are the files stored on the server, or locally on the workstations? If they
are on the server, what happens if you move one to the local workstation,
same behaviour or different?
