Hi

When it comes time to closing users, what do people do?

I know I can either disable the user or delete them
totally. However, what will happen to the users email
files?

Is there a way that I can create a new OU titled "ex
users" or similar that I can place old users in so that
there will always be a record of which users there have
been in the past and so that there will always be a store
of that users email account in case for any reason
somebody needs to access them?

I would be interested to find out what other people do.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can give me an idea of
the differant problems around this area.

I'm sure you will get lots of different idea's on how to handle this.
If you are concerned about needing the email, export the mail out to a =
personal folder (.pst) with the users name on it and put it away. You =
can open that from anywhere.
Then in my opinion, delete the user's account and mailbox. If mail =
comes in for that user it will generate a NDR which will go to the =
designated account (usually the administrators account) it can be =
reviewed and forwarded for action if necessary.
