Could you be more specific about the particular log files you have in mind?
There are different types of log files, some of which are essential to the
operation of the OS itself, perhaps a server application like Exchange or
SQL, and others are Event Logs that normally shouldn't be cleaned. Other
logs are for auditing and can be cleaned up individually if they are a
concern. In most cases, the log files on the server can be set to
"self-regulate" size or age of files retained.
