I'm trying to join a Server 2003 to a SBS 2000 domain as a member server.
The join fails with "name can't be found". I suspect the problem is the
original SBS 2000 installer used domainname.com instead of the recommended
domainname.local. Are there any workarounds?

Check to insure the Primary DNS Server on 2003 TCP/IP Properties is set to
the SBS 2000 Server.

If you are going to try to replicate the 2003 Server and SBS 2000,
make sure that you turn the firewall off on the 2003 machine. If you
don't, it will only partially replicate.
