I agree that MS turning off this by default was a bad idea. But, I don't
think they shouldn't change its funtionality a bit (i.e. to accept local
traffic only)... any computer that gets an unauthorized messenger message is
because they have a very poorly configured network. At least it was a
sure-tell sign.
