Just a quick one. I have a few customers with the same SBS2000 Server.
When I visit their sites to download some Windows Updates etc, I go to
windows update.com and download for example 7Mb of updates. This takes
around 8-10 minutes over ADSL. The next workstaion I go to, I visit
windowsupdate.com and do the same thing but this time, it only takes about 3
seconds to download and the the updates install. This is fine and have no
problems here but when I try this using a workstation on my own SBS2000
network, windowsupdate downloads the updates each time from each workstation
and takes a lot longer to complete my task.
Is there any where I can check/change any settings to make this work on my
own SBS2000 server?

Hope this makes sense.

Tanks in advance.

Hi RS,

The caching is probably being performed by ISA do you have this installed on
your server?

That said why don't check out either or both of these

SUS 1.1 www.microsoft.com/sus
hfnetchk www.shavlik.com

Have you considered deploying SUS? Not only will this provide you a
"download once" scenario, it will also eliminate the need to go to each
workstation individually. The SUS home page is located at:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/sus/default.mspx
