Hi Dave

You can do this in ISA, SMTP filter.

ISA, Server and Arrays, Server, Extensions, Application Filter.

Here you will find the SMTP filter which is disabled by default. Enable it
then right mouse click, properties and then user/domains tab.

I haven't got this to work 'locally' (ie my Exchange Server is local
(obviously - SBS) - and hence it doesn't take. Am I doing something
wrong?

Hi Bill, thanks for your reply.

My aim was to use/enable the SMTP filter in ISA - and to do this I
assume I need to "register" Exchange Server in ISA. So that's what I
tried to do - but, IIRC, the latter didn't take to well... (it would
only hook in as "Exchange RPC Server" protocol - and I think that's
something to do with the problem. (IIRC, this was because Exchange
Server is 'local' (of course it is in SBS!)).

End of the day, I'm getting emails from the top level domains that I'm
trying to block.

Here's some SS's...

Have I missed somethin' ?

TIA.

Until I get this working I feel I can't implement this on any client
Servers.

Hi Duncan

Can't understand why you configured a Server Publishing Rule, just enabling
the SMTP filter works for me. However putting just a top level extention I
am unsure if this would get actioned. Where did you get info for this?

How about a test... Delete the server publishing rule. Do you have a yahoo,
hotmail address etc block that in the smtp filter under senders name and
test so we know it works for individual emails

Microsoft stuff about SMTP filter:-
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/isa/2000/enterprise/proddocs/en-us/isadocs/cmt_smtpfilter.mspx

Can also have a look here:-
