I am having a terrible time trying to get a backup to work properly. I can
do a manual backup which is interactive. But when I try to run a scheduled
back, it says that it has in the incorrect media. How do I get the software
to overwirte the media and rename it without user input. I have looked at
the options and told it to overwrite but it still won't work.

When creating a new backup schedule, it asks for the media. It only gives me
options of New or ones that have already been created. I don't have any
media that has those names as they have been overwritten.

How do I overcome this problem? I have two sites identical and yet one works
and one doesn't. What gives????

Look forward to any response as long as it's kind!

Thanks

mil

Hi Mil,

FYI: the 2003 newsgroup is microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs

Are you using the SBS Backup wizard?

Sorry about that, I noticed 2003 in here so I thought I cold post here.

And yes, I am using the SBS Wizard. I have also installed the Hotfix but it
doesn't appear to have made any difference.

Thanks

Hi Mil,

Try making manually little backups on all those tapes with Nt Backup. Then
try the Backup Wizard again.
