Hi There,

I am having problems with transaction logs taking over
disk space on server. I have read to do an online exchange
backup of the Information store and this will remove used
transaction logs. When I try to perform this backup
completes almost straight away and I get the following in
the report.
I realise it says corrupt but this is working fine and I
was wonderig if there is any services etc I have to stop
to give backup access or is it just as it reads..
Here is report.
Any help appreciated..

Hi Simon,

Are you using NTBackup? You don't have to stop any services. Have a look at
www.smallbizserver.net for details about using NTBackup on a SBS-server.
BTW: You aren't doing anything with the M-drive, are you? Not scanning, not
backupping, no nothing.

Thank you for posting your question to the Newsgroup.

Do you have Mail Essentials installed on your server?

Uninstall Mail Essentials from GFI. The product has a transport event sink
that runs as part of Internet Information
Services (inetinfo.exe) and may cause the issue you're seeing.
