We have a SBS2000 network, and want to backup the server to the server's USB
hard disk. Does the backup program support backing up to this device ? If
not, are there any freeware, shareware programs that can ?

Appreciate any information

yes it does support it. But you should have more than one hard drive =
so you can rotate them out.
