Hi,

I use Arcserve 8.6 to backup my servers, and on my SBS server, I get this
message hundreds of times in my log

WARNING: "Alex Barnes [alexb]?Top of Information
Store?Journal?Archive?C:\WTSRV\Profiles\alexb\Desktop\New Microsoft Word
Document.doc" is a corrupt file.
This file cannot verify.
^ ^ ^ ^ ^

Because of these messages. the job is reported as failed.
But these documents dont exist at the specified locations anymore so I dont
understand why it is trying to back them up.
Is there somewhere I need to clear down to remove all remaining traces??

Please help

Regards,
Tommy Addison

Stop doing mailbox level backups and those errors should go away.

Do full online backups of the store only. Deselect Mailbox Level
Backups. Establish deleted item/mailbox retention times. Keep a
recovery server handy and restore/test your backups at least monthly.

....also, use deleted item retention for a reasonable period of time on
public & private stores, so users can recover items themselves.
