Hi,
I am getting loads and loads of messages in my application log on the server
since I added a second network card to the box.

It reads as follows:

Source: UserEnv
Type: Error
EventID: 1000
User: NT_AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: THASERVER

Description: Windows cannot access the registry information at
\\smallbusiness.local\sysvol\smallbusiness.local\Policies\{31B2F340-016D-11D
2-945F-00C04FB984F9}\Machine\registry.pol with (51)

I have done a search on EventID and it says see MS article Q259398 and it
mentions registry entries that need 1s and 0s changing but I don't even have
these entries in the registry to change - Can anyone suggest anything?

TIA,

Mark

Check the bindingorder of your nics and make sure the internal nic is on
top. If you're using RRAS, make sure you have done the regedits in 292822.
Can you give us the ipconfig/all from the server?

Sorry to sound dumb where exactly do I check the binding order of the cards?

If i do an IP config the external nic is listed first which is obviously
incorrect!
