Hi all

I am trying to access a web site that uses Java but it
appears to be getting blocked by the ISA firewall. I
have downloaded the Java Runtime Environment from Sun and
installed it but when accessing the site, I get prompted
for a username and password by my ISA server firewall.
If I enter the admin password , it lets me pass but I am
still unable to view the content of the site.
Do I have to open up or allow something on the firewall?

any help is greatly appreciated

Mark

I have a similar problem (sorry not much help to you), I
don't get asked a password though, I just get a red X
where the aplet should run. I presume that must be
something within ISA to allow this traffic although I
can't find what or where.

Have you checked your IE security settings? It seems more likely that IE
would be blocking java than ISA.

I thought Marietter had a new article on her website but I cannot get
to it tonight. My internet browsing is pretty crummy.

I also had some joy loading this patch on XP workstations. Note that
the comments about the updates were includsed in SP4 appear to be
erroneous. http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=305217 This patch helped
with SSL browsing problems.
