My brain is not functioning...

Running SBS2000 with around 30 Win2K Pro clients.

I need to do the following:

1. Delete a user called JoeB and his mailbox
2. Make sure the mailbox for JoeB is deleted permanently
from Exchange as we do not want the name to appear in the
Global Address Book.

How do I do the above successfully...as I last deleted a
user around a year ago!

Many thanks.

Do you want to preserve Joe's e-mail in some way for later reference?
You can hide his address from the Global Address Book in the meantime
and remove him from any groups. You could change his e-mail address
to prevent new inbound external mail reaching him.

In AD Users and Computers, r-click on JoeB and click Delete. The mailbox
will probably (assuming the default settings) stay in deleted mailbox
recovery for 15 days, but he won't show in the GAL. You'll see the mailbox
with a red X on it in ESM, and you'll be able to reassign it to another user
if necessary before the 15 days expire.

Did you run "Run Cleanup Agent" in ESM?
